Los Olvidados (The Forgotten)
On the night of the October wildfires, many Spanish speakers in our community were left to make life or death decisions with little to no information in their language. "Los Olvidados" tells the story of how our public institutions largely forgot about the Spanish-speaking community during this disaster. In the wake of this failure, local bilingual radio station, KBBF stepped up to serve the community, providing essential services and hope.
 
En la noche de los incendios de octubre, muchos hispanohablantes en nuestra comunidad tuvieron que tomar decisiones de vida o muerte con poca o ninguna información en su idioma. "Los Olvidados" cuenta la historia de cómo nuestras instituciones públicas se olvidaron en gran medida de la comunidad de habla hispana durante este desastre. A raíz de este fracaso, la estación de radio local bilingüe, KBBF, se acercó para servir a la comunidad, brindando servicios esenciales y esperanza.
