Bay Area Bountiful: Flyway Trail

Snowy plovers say thanks!  In Menlo Park, former industrial salt ponds have been restored back to natural wetlands where endangered species can thrive.  We visit the Flyway Trail at the Ravenswood Unit of Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge, guided ably by USFWS Ranger Miguel Marquez,  and SF Bay Wildlife Society Peninsula Programs Coordinator Aja Yee.  With easy access from East Palo Alto via a new footbridge provided at Meta (formerly Facebook) headquarters, it is part of the San Francisco Bay Trail system.  Special thanks to USFWS’s Miguelina Portorreal Garcia, volunteer Larry Rosenblum, and SFBBO’s Maddy Schwarz.
